Yes, No, Maybe So: A Conscious Consent and Boundaries Workshop

May 31, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

$40
Hands in circle on the sand

YES. NO, MAYBE SO: A CONSCIOUS CONSENT AND BOUNDARIES WORKSHOP

What would it be like to have healthy and strong interactions with the people in your life in which you could easily say YES to what you want and NO to what you don’t want and realize you have the right to both?

In this 3 hour experiential workshop you will have the opportunity to learn, explore, experience and practice the art of conscious consent and intentional boundary setting. Through a variety of interactive authentic relating, mindfulness, movement and conscious touch practices, you will be invited to:

  • Examine your current values, beliefs and practices around consent and boundaries and explore in what ways these have served you and in what ways they have held you back from fully honoring your deepest needs and desires.
  • Decide which beliefs and practices you choose to keep and which you would rather discard or change
  • Receive a brief introduction to Betty Martin’s Wheel of Consent Model
  • Experience the power of owning your true YES and honoring your true NO
  • Mindfully negotiate win-win scenarios so that you can honor self and honor other
  • Feel more at ease with nurturing platonic touch as you learn to clearly express your needs, wants, desires, and boundaries
  • Expand your horizons with the people you attract by showing with greater confidence, clarity and conscious consent

Our intention is that you will leave equipped with toolkit of concrete new skills and practices that you can put to immediate use.
